Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Sneaky Hires. By hiring with us, you agree to comply fully with these Terms & Conditions. These form a binding agreement between you (the client) and Sneaky Hires ("we", "us", or "our").

We reserve the right to update or amend these terms at any time without prior notice. Please review these conditions before each hire to stay informed of any charges.

By hiring with Sneaky Hires, you immediately agree to all following Terms and Conditions:

1.0 Booking & Payments

1.1 Bookings are only secured once full payment is received and all requested client details have been provided, including full name, email, phone number, delivery address, and valid government-issued ID.

1.2 We reserve the right to cancel any booking if:

  • Full payment has not been received by the due date.
  • Necessary client information or ID is missing or invalid.
  • The garment is damaged, lost, delayed, or otherwise unavailable.

1.3 If we cancel your booking for any reason after payment, a full refund will be issued via the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.

1.4 The standard hire period is 4 days unless otherwise agreed in writing. Requests for extensions must be approved and require an upfront payment of 50% of the hire fee for the additional period.

2.0 Cancellations, Refunds & Store Credit

2.1 Change of mind cancellations after payment will not be refunded.

2.2 No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made within 14 business days of the hire period.

2.3 Cancellations made more than 14 business days before the hire date are eligible for a store credit valid for 12 months.

2.4 In cases of event cancellation due to government restrictions, illness or natural disasters, valid proof must be supplied (e.g., medical certificate, official notice) for store credit eligibility. Store credits are at our discretion.

2.5 Minor wear and tear (such as slight stretching, small marks, or loose threads) is expected and does not qualify for refunds or credits.

2.6 Garments deemed faulty or unwearable upon delivery may qualify for refunds if reported within 3 hours of receipt with photographic evidence. The item must be returned unworn within 24 hours to be eligible.

2.7 Exchanged for sizing issues are only available for local pickups and must be requested within 3 hours of pickup. Postage hires are not eligible for exchanges.

2.8 Sale and discounted hires are final and non-refundable.

3.0 Returns

3.1 All garments must be returned either by local drop-off or prepaid express post by 5pm on the agreed return date, or by the Monday following a weekend hire, unless otherwise arranged.

3.2 Late returns incur a $20 daily late fee for each day the garment is delayed.

3.3 Returns later than 3 days will be subject to additional hire fees to cover lost bookings.

3.4 You authorise Sneaky Hires to charge late fees to the original payment method.

3.5 Unpaid late fees after 14 days may be passed to debt collection agencies.

4.0 Garment Care & Damage

4.1 Garments are professionally cleaned between hires; you should not attempt to wash, dry clean, or alter them.

4.2 Clients must handle garments with care, avoiding makeup, fake tan, food, drinks, and sharp accessories.

4.3 All garments have been previously worn. Minor signs of wear are normal and not grounds for refund.

4.4 Damage or stains caused during your hire may result in repaid fees or replacement costs at full retail price.

4.5 Do not attempt to clean or repair garments yourself. Notify us immediately of any damage and return the garment promptly.

4.6 If damage results in lost bookings or requires extra cleaning, you will be responsible for associated costs.

4.7 If full replacement fees are charged, you retain the damaged garment.

5.0 Try On Appointments

5.1 Try On Appointments are available by booking with a $15 non-refundable deposit redeemable against your hire if booked within 48 hours.

5.2 No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the deposit.

5.3 Damage during try-ons is subject to the same damage terms as rentals.

5.4 Avoid makeup or fresh fake tan during try-ons to prevent stains and fees.

6.0 Pick Ups & Delivery

6.1 Pickups are available Thursday to Saturday. Alternative pickups must be arranged in advance.

6.2 Last-minute pickups require confirmation of garment availability before booking.

6.3 Garments are shipped Australia-wide via Express Post on Tuesdays or nearest possible date.

6.4 Orders for weekend hires must be placed by Tuesday 12pm AEST at the latest.

6.5 We are not liable for delays caused by Australia Post.

7.0 Postage & Returns

7.1 We provide prepaid reusable mailers with express return labels for postage hires.

7.2 Garments must be returned via over-the-counter lodgement at Australia Post.

7.3 Failure to return on time will incur late fees.

7.4 Refunds will not be given for late returns or deliveries caused by postage delays.

8.0 Liability & Miscellaneous

8.1 We are not responsible for postage delays or lost packages once tracking confirms dispatch.

8.2 Clients are liable for lost or stolen garments after delivery.

8.3 By hiring, you consent to receive promotional communications. You may opt-out anytime.

8.4 All intellectual property in content related to Sneaky Hire remains our property and may not be shared without permission.

9.0 Collaborations & Influencers

9.1 Collaborators must book and pay for hire as regular clients.

9.2 Collaboration garments are subject to the same care, damage, and late return policies.

9.3 Failure to meet collaboration terms may result in compensation fees.

9.4 Content created through collaborations is the property of Sneaky Hires and may not be redistributed without consent.
